![]() ![]() "Cleaner" type software is probably best not used on Macs, reports here abound with problems stemming from such tools (I am not familiar with AppCleaner, maybe it is ok. Not sure what they are doing, but make sure they have been updated and are compatible with 12.5. I also see BitTorrent and AppCleaner tools installed. I would completely uninstall it, using the vendor uninstaller, and check for any remnants with Find Any File and remove those too. But tools like Sophos are well known for conflicts with the MacOS, especially after system updates. The MacOS is on a sealed, read-only volume mounted as a snapshot, you cannot modify it even you wanted to, let alone unintentionally. ![]() Normally software like Sophos is not needed, especially under Monterey which has very resilient security protocols. ![]() Also, with a fusion drive, most of the scanning is being done on a mechanical drive that is APFS, this could be a very slow combination. That looks like the Sophos anti-virus software? It appears to be an old version, if not compatible with 12.5, could notably interfere with normal MacOS operations. ![]()
